Jim McMahon is Vice President of Consulting at Ascend Analytics. In this capacity, Mr. McMahon leads the development and delivery of value-added services to Ascend’s global client base. Mr. McMahon has worked with many utilities, generation owners, investors, government agencies, and law firms on a range of energy-related matters, including portfolio planning, asset valuation, business planning, and capital allocation. He has provided testimony before the PUC on numerous occasions, supported tens of billions of dollars in asset transactions, and in the wake of the Energy Crisis, spent several years prominently assisting the state of California with portfolio planning and regulatory analysis.
Prior to Ascend, Mr. McMahon worked in senior-level positions at Charles River Associates and Navigant Consulting. He received his J.D. and M.B.A. from the College of William and Mary and his B.A. in Economics from Tufts University.
